The client came to us wanting to take her business to the next level with a professional logo, website, stationery, as well as an online marketing campaign to improve the website appearance on Google, and a Facebook campaign to increase sales through the social media network. Essentially, it was a textbook approach to setting up and marketing a new business.
As with all our website design work, Dr Yao’s website proceeded in 3 main steps: Homepage, inner pages and final clean up/tweaking before going live.
The home page is the first page that people typically see when they go to a new website, and is often the most complex part of the design process.
Once Dr Yao was happy with the homepage, we then moved on to the inner page designs where we designed a cross-section of other pages for the website based on the styles set out in the homepage.
Once he was happy with these, then the final fitout was completed, where all pages in the sitemap were added, including links, final text and final images to replace any placeholder items, and he approved it to go live.
Dr Yao also has us on retainer to take total care of his website needs. This includes website hosting, updates & changes, support, maintenance, backups, security (SSL) and website management.
While we build our websites to be portable and as easy and flexible to use by clients as possible, many business owners don’t have the time or interest to learn how to do all that stuff themselves. They have a business to run, after all.
We also provided him with the optional training session so he could learn how to make changes to the website himself, and to get a sense of how the WordPress part of his website functions.
